Loved, Lost, and Grown

in Elementary School, I was so happy,

my best friend in the world, was my art teacher,

I dreamed of following in her footsteps,

although, art was not my best feature,

I soon moved away to a brand new place,

I’m sad to say I didn’t contact enough,

two years ago, she passed away, I can’t forget her face,

thats when I first found out life was tough.

In middle school, I got very depressed,

life didn’t stop for me, it went really fast,

I fell behind, and short of expectations,

its sad, I left two people in the past,

three years went by, and now I’m in high school,

I have stressed and struggled, it’s hard,

man is it going as fast as I blink,

life, majors, schools, have the pick the right cards.

With only one year left, I’m very nervous,

growing up is a very scary thing, you see,

it has taken me till my junior year,

to realize that life can be filled with glee,

adulthood is so close, yet so very far,

through the years of school, I’ve learned the foundations,

childhood started with twinkle twinkle little star,

and it’s ending with Congradulations.
