Love/Hate Relationship

As white as the skin

of a poor girl poisoned by an apple

Colder than the heart

of a wicked step mother

Shining brighter than the love

of Woman and beast

Falling softly to the ground

Or blowing violently with rage

A gift on Christmas morning

Or a curse on a spring day
