A Love/Hate Relationship

Here’s a letter written to my best friend,

With all of the reasons that I hate you.

You annoy and pester me to no end.
You show up to my house out of the blue.

You always force me to do what is right

Even when I push you to do the wrong.

Everyday, you make me tell you good night

Even if I’ve been mad all day long

Your grades are perfect and you’re so damn smart

You’re humble, respectful, caring, and kind.

Your sense of humor is a work of art.

You can always tell what is on my mind.

So I guess I do not hate my best friend.

I am grateful for all of the hours we spend.
