#LoveIs

Love is

An ally against the monster

That is Depression.

Fighting isolation

To show that loneliness is defeatable,

And although sadness is all-consuming,

She won't be consumed by it alone,

Because the ones she loves are right beside her.

Love is

Knowing that an icy glass of water

And "Everything is going to be okay,"

Is the best remedy for her Anxiety.

Love is

Providing a long-sought-after cure

For her to heal, to grow, to understand

That defeating her monsters is attainable.

Love is

Loving for better or for worse,

Depression or no depression,

Anxiety or no anxiety

Love is

Helping her feel victorious,

Helping her feel whole

For the first time.
