lovely alone

I wanted lavender walls to enlighten the pain while walking through the door

Stained glass windows to add color to dull days

Tan carpet that felt soft on all the rough skin it touched

A white fluffy bed on rainy days with cold blankets for the tears that dripped from ones eyes

Fresh floral detergent that became absorbed through freshly washed favorite pillows

Because coming home to a man to be wrapped around seemed harsh, while silky sheets seemed gentle

Being free became the only way to find clarity

Arriving to a man was forced and dark, cloudy and confusing

It caused problems for light souls that could only be solved with solitude
