Lovely But Deadly

Love is often questioned.

Love is often misinterpreted.

Love is the unexplainable.

Love is the unknown.

And the unknown is something that I fear.

Yet, love is this entity that we all seek ,

But don’t underestimate the allure of darkness

Because even the purest hearts are drawn to it

I know that this is something I won’t have to doubt.

You saw my wounds that uncloaked my story but you made the pain heal

Though they may be scars you love the way they display on my skin

 Because you know my truths

Something that you believe to be artistic

Maybe this could be my silver lining

One at which I felt to be a fairytale

You’re not terrified of my darkness

But you understand “in order to see  stars you need darkness”

And you spotted the bright light inside of me

One I thought that has burned out long ago…

I’ve had to learn

To not depend on anyone in this world because even your shadow leaves you when you’re in the dark

The most beautiful things in life are not seen but felt by the heart

you’re that rose that I’ve been waiting to blossom on a land where it doesn’t rain

You broke through

But you still come with thorns...
