This Lovely Flame

I am a being of the dark,

You are a child of the light,

And when we meet, you

Set me ablaze.

It’s not the fire of destruction

Or even that of hate

Finally, it’s a warm, sweet flame

Like that of a winter’s fireplace.

For simply knowing you like me here

Helps to fan this lovely flame

And talking with you

Finally gives me hope.
