Lovely Trauma

Lost lasting happiness with

A quick stroke of evil

It's easy to recall

That willowy September night

A screaming match

Haplessly lit from a scratch

The press of a kitchen blade

Against one pale nape

There isn't a waking day

That dawns without that memory
