Lovely Warriors
When loneliness rears it's ugly head
and tries to bite you
I'll sharpen my blade
heft and swing
and cut it off right at the neck
Because I love you
When anxiety throws it's poisened knives
and tries to cut you
I'll polish my shield
steady my arm
and deflect every last one
Because I love you
When doubt looses it's speeding arrows
to try and stop you
I'll build you some armor
shape you a helmet
and stop them before they reach your skin
Because I love you
When fear flings it's nasty venom
to start to blind you
I'll light up a lantern
lend you my arm
and guide you until your sight returns
Because I love you
When sadness floods the city streets
and tries to drown you
I'll pull up my anchor
raise up my sails
and take us far from danger
Because I love you
When we're safe from harm
arm in arm
and they turn their weapons my way
I'll know you'll do the very same
ready with your sharpened blade
Because you love me too
