The Lovers

She was smiling,

delighted

There he was,

he looked so young.

Tall,

firm,

upright figure.

He moved a few steps nearer,

those few steps with what natural grace.

Whenever she caught his eye,

she forced him to smile.

She must not flatter herself

for she did not feel afraid.

Nothing like flirtation for her and her partner.

Easy friends

and

lovers.
