lovers unaware
Sun rises over town
Reflected in lovers’ hair
A hungry goat craves the sun
But the couple do not care
Happy blue surrounds the two
Too busy staring in each other’s eyes
Of the goat’s green unaware
Of the town’s possible demise
The young woman lives there
Green shades her unknowing face
The young man from far away
Not affected by the goat’s taste
Soon he’ll miss her golden hair
He says “it’s just you and me”
They both continue on
Blinded from catastrophe
