A Lover’s Ghost

Laid in bed

I feel the Ice- crawl,

Heaven’s burden- fall,

Thy ghostly Light

twitch in sight,

Death’s love wrap- around-

my Shoulders.

Awaken from this dreaded Dream-

this stanza comes to play.

My nights- are falling-

God forbid

in such a ghastly way.

Morning brings Sorrow;

chittering Warmth

melts thy clutches.

I have lost thee once

again.
