Love's Complications

Every day a piece falls
Losing her heart day by day
Passion torn in two ways
Love and interest mixed in one
The stars tell possibilities of both
Characteristics pull her in
One path seems to go nowhere
The other promises unknown
Love unappreciated
Untouched
Passion caressing her body
Pulling her closer
Giving her what she needs
Empty hands
No passion
Empty arms and distance
As complicated as it is seen
Puts her in her shell
Hopes torn down
Nerves uneasy
All that can be done is wait
An opportunity
Or the path already taken
A choice to hopefully return the butterflies
