Loves Departure

My past love,

Flames once roaring now cry instead.

Triumph torn from victorious warmth.

The light once cast so bright

Hides now in the shadows it once conquered.

The heat of radiance now singes itself.

The fuel casting lashes of retaliation.

The blazing purity now corrupted,

And tainted by smokes suffocation.

And now the embers lay cold

As the fire desperately claws for strength,

But the bed that once laid burning foundation

Now steals it's warmth and fragile life.
