love's four leaf clover

Who will love me for me?

Without any underlying want.

Just for me?

Must I continue to be vigilant,

Quelling who I am

Unable to ease fears of this sham.

What's love?

Intimidation is the matter of choice-

the way you respond to the tailgating voice

grey clouds constantly hiding the sun above.

Red-

Love's color I misread

as hideous.

I was oblivious

to its extent

in my present.
