Love's Garden

Fri, 04/25/2014 - 03:59 -- LeeLee

Love came here one day,
Made a garden,
Planted seeds in hearts,
And went away.

Some rapidly started to grow.
They sprouted leaves
And grew deep roots,
But others were very slow.

Alone for years they laid
In cold, dark hearts.
Unknown and unfelt,
In spite of time they stayed.

Some that grew so fast,
Grew big and strong,
But most faded soon,
A memory of the past.

Only one seed, lonely, small,
Defied all odds.
It found another seed.
They intertwined and grew tall.

It found a love that was true;
Together strong.
That was my heart;
I found that love with you.
