Love's Truth

My love to thee be of my best

To know you are safe is my only request

Day and night spent all alone

Could not live without if you were gone

Flowers and roses, bushes and trees

Birds and squirrels, rabbits and bees

All have a life and a partner at home

I wish you a seat upon a throne

Cherished and loved by all you knew

But when night falls you are truely alone

Selfish and hateful, disgruntled and rude

But yet wishes a maiden to wed you in June

My love to thee be of my best

To know you are safe is my only request
