Lovesick
Dear Mr. Right,
Love is a diamond.
It is beautiful.
But takes a lot of work.
Love is blue.
Bright as the sky.
But as deep as the sea.
The way a person can make you feel.
Your heart they will steal.
That power is hard to yield.
It is a scary thought how much you give of yourself.
They hold your heart in the palm of their hand.
But in the end they give you some of themselves too.
You know every little thing about them.
They trust that you won’t hurt them.
A passion greater than any other.
For one specific person the rest of your life.
It is worth all the strife.
All the trials, all the things you will go through.
It is for them.
And it is worth it.
It is worth the tears, and long talks.
It is worth all of these things.
All for what the person brings.
The smile that lights up your world.
The laugh that can dance around a room.
Doing whatever it takes to be with that person.
Whatever it takes to protect that person.
They are your one and only.
Love yours truly,
Kaylee Castillo
