Lovesong

My dear,

I have no fear of the future.

While others around me are uncertinant,

I look into my crystal ball and I see us,

together,

happy as we always have been.

So I'd like to say thank you

to my girlfriend,

for healing all my scars

with love.

Because I love you,

calling you my girlfriend no longer seems fitting.

Girlfriend lacks perminance, something you can simply

move on from.

You are my other half, my love, my one and only,

my best friend.

Because I love you

distance holds no cards.

I have a royal flush,

but my poker face needs work.

You know that because

you laugh with me

as I try to act innocent

while a smirk creeps onto my face

Because I love you

I hold you when you cry.

The world has been tough on you my love,

but your head stays high

and your shoulders forward.

You are stronger than you know my love.

And you hold me while I cry,

you have loved me through my worst,

you kiss me when I think I'm unlovable.

My dear,

The world hasn’t made things easy for us,

in fact the world has made things pretty damn hard.

but we will make it through thick and thin,

in sickness and in health,

because we have something special.

Because I love you,

Because you love me.
