LoveThrough Many Eyes

  • ,
There are millions of minds,
And there are millions of meanings;
A word that everyone defines
But nobody agreeing

Do I dare even to say?
We’ve been together for a year.
I think it might scare her away.
Will it cause her any fear?

My mom wants me to tell it to
 the Uncle I just met.
If I do not follow through,
will he be all upset?

The friendzone is a scary place,
but she just makes me melt.
Will she laugh right in my face
if I told her how I felt?

My dad walked out when I was eight,
but now that he’s come back,
he’s asking for a cleaner slate,
but do I have to tell him that?

I’ve been widowed for a year, you see
and only now has it dawned,
I only really knew the meaning
After he was gone.

There are millions of minds,
And no two meanings are alike.
What matters is that you can find
What brings that word to life.
