Loving myself while loving you

A letter to my Lover,

Oh, the indescribable feeling of your presence,

not a word needs to be spoken,

not a finger needs to be laid.

But a love like ours is one deeper than the physical,

a love I have never felt before but I feel it now,

Oh please know I feel it now.

Your day to day conversation turns me on,

because I fell in love with your mental.

before falling in love with your body.

You smile with that smile,

But at times, it’s faked. I know this, I know you,

something is wrong,

though you try not to speak about your feelings,

I feel the your unspoken pain because we are one.

So I ask because I honestly care baby,

that what you do when you are interested in the makings of a person

And I am so into the makings of you.

Listening is okay but I want to understand.

The very same way you try to come up with an explanation for all my doings.

A bad day, I get it. We all have those but I love willingness to share your life with me.

You know, this love is a working process and I am not a mind reader.

Although I wish I was, because I want to know all the words on every page of your chapter book of life.

Uncontrollable blushing and giggles when I catch you staring at me.

"Why are you looking at me," I whisper softly and you again just smile with that smile

And simply say " I can't help it, I admire you"

We adore each other's imperfections, but we love ourselves more.

We are lovers, not each other’s children. I will not treat as sure,

And you better do the same because I am grown,

we will not tell each other what to do,I run my life.

As this love affair grows so will we as people,

I will remind you like the first day we met,

Not to don't hurt me with unnecessary untruths.

Tell me the truth, all we have is our word,

I trust you, I gave you one of my precious instruments , my heart

just like you trust me

but know that if you do

I love me enough to let you go.

Yours Truly.
