Loving Others
There are many complexities to loving others, that is for sure
This is how I believe a loving relationship can endure
Love is patient and kind even when it is tough
Love means talking out problems, not leaving in a huff
It cannot be jealous or proud when the other has victory
But must rejoice whether good happens to them or to me
Love does not demand its own way and it must be wise
Love has to be willing to see the other's side and compromise
It must not keep a record of wrongs or pain from the past
Forgiveness must be at the root so bitterness can't last
To love another means to always be truthful and sincere
Even if the truth is not what I wish to say or they to hear
Love never gives up and endures hardships that come
Love is always supportive and cannot be undone
If these words are followed, then relationships will grow
Giving joy and fulfilment that we all long to know
