Loving the Time

I loved the warmth of the sun, Rays softening your irises, The golden tone of our skin. I loved the comfort of the soft wind, A slight embrace, Lullabied by the melody of birds. I loved our escape where life paused, I loved that place in time, Though I did not love you.
