Loving You

Sometimes,

Loving you can feel like

setting fire to a church.

Like corruption in all the best ways.

My church has a prophecy on it,

They say that she will burn up,

But all who are inside will be safe.

That’s what you feel like.

Like miracles, coming true.

Othertimes

Your love can feel like

an explosion going off in my chest.

like shrapnel in my sides.

like fireworks

Bursting into brilliance.

I love you so much

It Hurts.

But always

Our love feels beautiful.

One of a kind,

Fragile, and sturdy,

After years of sharing our hearts

Love still feels new, and strange,

I’m still learning new things about you,

Like the bend of your elbow,

the crook of your neck,

the shape of your chest,

are all more amazing with time.
