Loving you

Loving you was the hardest yet easiest thing I have ever done.

Because I love you

I will take any rainy day to keep you happy.

Because I love you,

I finally know what it’s like to have vulnerability towards someone.

Because I love you,

I have a best friend who see’s every side of me, and sticks around for it.

Because I love you,

somehow reality is much better than dreaming.

Because I love you,

I finally know what sharing happiness and moments feels like.

But Because I love you,

I ache on the inside.

And I realize the love I have for you will never be reciprocated.

Because I love you,

I am willing to put myself through this, because I realize feeling is better than not.

Because I love you,

I have to accept the fact that you will never look at me the way I look at you.

Because I love you,

I put a smile on when I talk to you, just to keep you from being concerned.

Because I love you,

Seeing you laugh with someone else kills me a little more each time.

But just because I love you, doesn’t mean I can't love myself.

Because I love me,

I realize it's time to let go of what will never be.
