Loving you from Afar

Loving you from afar is ever so aching

My mind takes me to you through the distance

Sometimes it feels like my heart is breaking

But in my thoughts I’m held for an instance

Early the sun will rise and then will fall

At the open of my eyes, where are you?

I pick up my phone with the yearn to call

Just to hear it again “I love you too”

There was a time I was used to the cold

It even came from the heart of myself

When the sun came out I had you to hold

The warmth you gave me made me love myself

But our time apart will end very soon

Just a but longer under this cold moon.

(This is a poem about the long distance between my Soldier and I)
