Lucifer Rising

The angels of the abyss

are midnight winged

Their celestial sisters

Snow white and pearl

Why are my wings

deep blue

like a night

without a moon

I fly in shadows

yet seek the light

my feet are in darkness

my face is sunlit

Angel or demon

I cannot choose

I fly between worlds

I am a dark muse

of  poems of darkness

and poems of light

Of paintings of shadows

hidden from sight

I am a new creature

a shade of the dusk

I rise in the night sky

I'm Lucifer

the firstborn

the sun

and a new dawn
