Lucky

I am so lucky...

I am so lucky that I didn't have to live in a house

that didn't have any heat in the middle of winter.

But I did...

I am so lucky that my mom always had a job and money

so that she could feed me and take me to school.

But she didn't...

I am so lucky that my dad never left me and my mom and my family has

always been whole.

But he did...

I am thankful...

For what did happen to me is in the past,

and I am the ONLY one in control of my future.

My past is what made me who I am today...

and for that

I am so thankful...
