A Lucky Day


When I was young, on Turkey Day A mischievous spirit fluttered my way It grabbed hold of me Utterly wrecking sensibility And under its influence I drove that golfing unit Right into the front bar Of Aunt Sherri's new car Trouble in my future understood I ran crying into the wood And there I stayed for an awful hour Til I emerged to apologize with a cower After they had returned to Tallahassee I was informed of happy news for me Aunt and car had been rear ended And in the process of it being mended The damage I caused was rectified And I could look at my aunt and not try and hide
