Lucky to Live in Paradise

(poems go here)

Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping

As the cool island breeze sweeps into my room

The warm Hawaiian sun beams through my window

I stretch with great intensity and let out a few yawns

My feet are warm from the comfort of my blanket

As my body lays restless on the queen sized bed

Cars pass by here and there

Each with their own unique sound

The barking of dogs can be heard in the distance

As the morning becomes noon

I rise from my bed and make my way to the door

As I open it, the sound of the TV comes into play

My parents are enjoying NFL Sunday

They greet me with smiles and comforting words

I take a deep breath and exhale all the stress

It is a great day to wake up in paradise
