Lucky Red Pen

Goodness,

Tranquility.

Kindness,

versatility.

I strive for these virtues.

Humor,

Love.

We're all just

doves.

Flying into one another in this

crazy, messed up, world.

One thing.

Yes, only

one thing

get's me through it

get's me through

this thing called "life"-

My lucky red pen

that saved a young girl.

She had fallen,

darkness,

losing air,

gasping for consciousness.

*POP!*

Standing,

brightness,

breathing in,

and seeing

this beautiful earth.

Seeing my red pen.

Every time I see it,

I think of her.

Her glossy eyes

becoming clearer.

Lungs inflate with

gratitude and fervor.

Trembling,

yet determined.

I saw her smile

with mirth and joy.

Saw her laugh

and dance about.

She spun around

and around

and collapsed from happiness.

I thought this pen saved her.

Gave her

another opportunity.

But it actually saved me.
