Luke

Just got home from school, listening all day

now it's my turn, now I will say

whatever I want, in any which way

poetry is as free as USA

"this teacher sucks," says a buddy

"I will respectfully disagree.

he is just a man, like you and me

and much smarter than you, the irony."

My generation is a judging one

with all our gadgets, there's no time for sun

taking selfies is our version of fun

and I'm out of complaints, so this stanza's done

Not that our parents our totally exempt

they labeled our age demographic with contempt

all we can do is give our best attempt

at preserving our world through the rising temp.

Humans are evil, since Adam and Eve

ate that freaking apple, because they were deceived

but there's enough good in the world, I believe

to keep on going, if there wasn't I'd leave.
