Lullaby

hush now sweet baby and let your mind rest

sleep now my darling against my warm breast

the world may seem scary, and sometimes that’s true

but never, my angel, would I let it harm you

see my darling I have developed a wonderful plan

to save you from the evils of this treacherous land

so close your eyes precious child and you won’t feel a thing

mommies found a sure way to dull sleep’s sting

now don’t be afraid, you won’t be dreaming alone

love of my life, I will be following you home
