Lumière

Earths face kindles the first gleam of the day

A faint luminescence appears across the bay

This energy so fierce we can now see

Lusters with a dazzle over the fruit of an ackee

The joy of a child illuminated with a piece of hard candy

Warmth of a fire can possess the effects that of brandy

Sparking a conversation can open a new road

Welcome to my humble abode

The depths of this enlightener are deepest when thought at nightfall

A cherished gift to all

Beauty bounded within every crevice is such a sight

Only when we have what we define as light
