Lunch

Period one

I feel hungry as always

Though I just had breakfast

I push through

Period two

Hunger still

When will it be time to eat?

I push through

Period three

I eat a snack

It's not enough

I push through

Period four

Still hungry

No more snacks

I push through

Lunch

Here at last

I devour my sandwich

An emptiness remains
