Lungs of Love
how could you my love?
actually
how dare you
occupy my thoughts
like air occupies my lungs
the only difference is
i didn't need you to live
before that day
you made your way into my mind
or did i?
maybe
you were the last bit of air i needed
to know what it's like to breathe
to live
to know what it's like
to have my lungs feel full
but with it
came the burden thought
my dear you taught me
what it's like to breathe
but now the only air i breathe is you
