Lupus

Im looking in this mirror Im ashamed of what I see Im staring at a girl Who doesnt look like me She's getting really sick But not too many know That underneath her shirt All of her ribs show Her hair is falling out in clumps And strands are on the floor But every time she brushes it There comes a little more Her stomach churns then settles And starts the process one more time She sits against the door As she feels like she might die Her hands and feet are freezing They've turned purple and blue Her legs have gotten swollen And the pain has come back too Her head is pounding like a drum Her muscles start to ache She sits and stares at the wall Her hands begin to shake She finally gets into her bed, Falls asleep, and dreams Frantically she wakes up; drenched And now begin the screams It's only 3 am But she cant go back to sleep Terrified and miserable She only sobs and weeps How can this be possible Im only 17 It doesn’t seem to matter though At least thats what it seems
