Lying Love

Cross your arms, fold your legs, and frown

Crease your brow and drink with guarded eye

Knowing in your soul dwell these motions upside down,

Form and speech your hopes belie.

Eye for eye, toothless frown returned

Wanes the moon that could by words remount

Kindle my blue flame, one spark! – Silently I burned.

Form and Speech my hopes renounced.
