The "M" Word

Numbers, express, fractions, percents the fear with my hands being sweaty.

Teacher asks, " Deloria what is the answer"? Of course, I freeze all I can think is zero.

Years passed the same freeze with the same question. Then that freeze began to affect anything that involves numbers.

I began to seek success and wanted to push my brain. Knowing the only way to unfreeze the big iceberg was set sunlight on it.

Had to start from the bottom with a book with "M" word, paper and wooden number two.

Now with my brain at ease and my confidence at a ten, there is no need to fear the questions that come with the numbers, decimals, expression, and equations.

I learned with reassuring yourself and knowing that it is okay to try again. That is where you see your worth and fear is only in the mind.
