For Ma

Mom of three, busier than a bee

All the gratitude in the world will not be enough

For how many hours and days you were unfree

Some days were much too tough

You always managed to act carefree

Always treated me like a diamond in the rough

I hope someday I get to be

As beautiful and lovely with my heart on my cuff
