Madame Sunshine

Madame Sunshine did not wake up this morning;

She has retired, for everyone deserves a rest;

A couple days she had declared;

It’s been a couple weeks and still no glistening shine;

She has not left her bed for tea, not even to dine;

Her heart is losing warmth, turning colder than stone;

Where has the sun gone with that smile well-known;
