A Magic

It truly is a magic

The way when the warm breeze blows,

Tickling the trees as they dance.

That’s the way it feels; and it truly is a magic.

A moment; an instant is captured

To play out before me as I record it onto the page

And it truly is a magic.

It’s like waking up Sunday morning feeling brand new.

Like walking barefoot through a meadow, feeling the morning dew.

It’s the fleeting moment of sunrise

And the sudden rush of freefall.

It grips you and whispers in our ear the promises of fairy tales

And the fantasies of dreams.

It’s like dancing when no one is watching.

In that moment, it is our secret.

My pen and I

And the way I see it; it truly is a magic.
