Magnificent

Tonight, we are the ones they sent To capture the magnificent So much power, so much grace Stagnant there in outer space It won't be there very long Relatively, like a song Beginning, middle, climax, end That's just the way the sounds do bend But here it's light, mass, energy That makes Earth's greatest hits envy Beautiful explosions and Years from now the light will stand Fascinating, it all seems Brilliant, how I would deem How amazing these all sound When I stop and turn around Exasperation from our crew As windows open, cosmic stew Presented to us full and clear Plenty to see though none to hear Tonight, we are the ones they sent To capture the magnificent Your deep but temporary face Still stagnant there in outer space
