Maiden

Through darkness I was saved.

The persona who lies in wait.

The words stopped flowing freely.

Small buds yearn for sunshine.

Days fade and nights pass.

The white dress now stained.

At what point does a smile feel real?

Suitors come but the walls stay strong.

When can I look through my eyes without pain?

She will wait, she will die, and her heart may never heal.

This world could end in a flash.

He will come one day.

In the mean time I will find my voice again.

The door shall remain locked until then.
