Make believe
Darkness
It creeps in
My greatest nightmare
Yet it also brings me joy
What is it about you
That gets me all worked up
One minute I feel like I’m floating on the highest and lightest of clouds
Next it’s gone
Replaced by grey heavy clouds
I wish I could pour my heart to you
I cannot
Even though you tell me you love me
I can never rely on the words you tell me
Can’t you see my insecurities
I feel used by you sometimes
Though I would like to believe otherwise
Am I blinded by my feelings
Is what we share a mare dream
That I have molded to make believe
Do you love me out of sympathy
Because it’s the right thing
A thousand questions go unanswered
And I will never be brave enough to ask
Maybe because In doing so
I will lose you
I’m afraid to lose you
Because though you are my darkness
You are also my light
You are my joy
My strength
My happiness....
