Make A Change And Stop Justifying Our Laziness

I've never been one for rhyming I just feel like what I have to say should be spoken Why must we succumb to the expectations of others? Only to be treated as a replaceable token I am an individual And no I don't have "swag" Yet this generation is defined by a justification for all of our stupidities by a simple phrase: "YOLO" I don't strive to be different or strange But I'm given the look of a freak when I'm asked "Do you want to get high?" And I answer with "No thank you" Am I given this look because I don't do drugs? Or because I have manners Either way, I shouldn't be the minority But the majority looks at me like I'm some thug because of the color of my skin I was oblivious to this until some stranger decided to enlighten me to this fact I dress nicely and speak with intellect but still subjected to such standards by my crowds Can we get out of this rut? Or are we as a generation doomed to failure? Al I know is, if we do not wake up We will be over run by countries that are not so comatose

If we all did our part and stopped waiting for a savior, The real world wouldn't be so scary. It's simple.
