Make This Last

I’m sad because nobody loves me

I’m sad because nobody cares

I’m sad because I turn in bed

And nobody’s lying there

Don’t stop

Make this last

Make me just forget my past

Don’t leave me like the last one did

Don’t take my heart and trample it

Treat me like a work of art

And cherish me

From the very start

Make me the one

You don’t want to lose

Keep me in your arms

If I’m the one you choose

I’ll smile because you love me

I’ll be happy that you care

I’ll be glad that when I turn in bed

I know you’re lying there

If you choose me to be yours

I will hold you tight forever

Your hand in my hand

We will always be together

I write in my free time whenever I feel strongly about a topic or need to get something off of my chest. Poetry has been a very therapeutic outlet for me through the years. I enjoy sharing my poems in hopes that they connect with someone, and I enjoy reading poems by other poets, too!
