Make a noise and make it loud
Be black and proud
Young black men and young black women
Make a noise and let your voice be heard
And the world will see how strong we are
Wear your hair long and wear it down
Down by the riverside
And cross that river to escape all that has bind you before
Black youth and black old
Come and let us make a joyful noise
