To make You proud

Working and studying late, 

but today marks the date.

I have not seen You in three years,

and yes this brings me tears,

but I hope to make You proud.

I push myself to be accepted.

I push myself to be above all.

I push myself to follow my dreams, 

and conquer them all.

I do it all with You in my head.

Sometimes, it drags me out of bed.

I do it all to know that I would be able to make You proud.

Even though You are not around, You motivate me.
