Makenna

“Guess what? I got kicked out of track because my lungs failed the physical.”—

Just because you quit doesn’t mean you’re not an addict

You will always be an addict

Sometimes even more than before

But thank god for life’s reminders

Of why you quit in the first place—

Even if sometimes they make you miss it more

At least you know your reality

You no longer walk among the brocken

But parts of you are forever missing—

Though this leaves you with more room to be full of something else

And I promise you, almost anything fits better in those gaps
